The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a motivated, hard-working individual to join the team in our Commercial Division. The Aluminum Project Worker is an important member of the Northerm Commercial Team and is responsible for the professional installation of glazing applications and architectural aluminum on Northerm’s commercial and industrial aluminum projects.

In order for an individual to be successful in the role of Aluminum Project Worker, they need to have the following combination or equivalent combination of education, experience and skills:

  • Journeyman Glazier Ticket or experience
  • Aluminum or carpentry experience (one year minimum)
  • Able to read shop drawings
  • Completion of secondary school diploma OR equivalent is preferred
  • Intermediate English skills
  • Ability to safely work at heights
  • Can perform physical activities on a regular basis
  • Driver’s License (Class 5)
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, mechanical devices or equipment
Salary: $18 – $32 based on experience
Status: Seasonal / part time
Location: Whitehorse, Yukon

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a motivated, hard-working individual to join the team in our Commercial Division. The Project Manager is an integral member of the Northerm Commercial Team and is responsible for ensuring that Northerm’s commercial aluminum projects are managed safely, on time, on budget, in accordance with building codes and other applicable legislation. This position is also responsible for supervising and assisting with the installation of commercial and industrial Glazing applications.

In order for an individual to be successful in the role of Project Manager, they need to have the following combination or equivalent combination of education, experience and skills:

  • Glazier ticket with minimum 5 years’ experience as a Glazier in the commercial construction industry
  • Previous experience in Foreman role is preferred
  • Able to read blueprints and shop drawings
  • Completion of secondary school diploma OR equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum of four years of project management experience
  • Intermediate English skills
  • Ability to safely work at heights
  • Can perform physical activities on a regular basis
  • Driver’s License (Class 5)
Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 based on experience, plus the benefits including RSP matching!
Status: Full Time
